Reed Timmer is probably not very good at chess, since you usually anticipate what your opponent's next move will be.

In the mixed-up world of meteorology, there are no insurments or measuring devices to guide you, nor scientific principles - it's all about instinct and the unpredictable;

people compare things they do to chess to make themselves look smart...

chasing a dangerous storm is not very smart

 Good thing they are in an armored vehicle while they go into the tornadoes. I don't do that, in fact I haven't seen a tornado yet while out in the field.

 That's what I tell my younger brother, but he won't listen to logic. Once he gets into geometry, he'll be mad he didn't listen to my logic.
