It shouldn't be slowing anything down. When did this start ? ( day/date)
The merge was important for many reasons (add new features, many players with multiple accounts, upcoming changes in Facebook apps, difficulty in maintaining two sets of code, etc). We will not be able to unmerge accounts or applications.
We understand that some people feel upset about the merge and we want to address those issues by improving the current application, not by returning to the old one.
We are already working hard to add in better friend invites, challenges, alerts, friend leaderboards, and much more!
When you added facebook you really slowed down my login time. I have come to enjoy rapidly loging in and now it can be 10-20 seconds. Waiting for facebook.
Was that really necessary?
