Click and drag will change the orientation if you're using the Real3D board.

There doesn't seem to be a 3d board option in the settings for the boards

The Real3D board is only on the web.
Other 3D board types are top down (3D isometric)
I am playing on the web on Chess.com (thru Safari). How come I can't seem to do this?

It's the Real3D piece set under Board and Pieces
