Ads

Once upon a time, there were ads that showed a picture with some accompanying text.  Then there were ads that sparkled and flashed.  Then there were ads that talked and sang (and screamed and growled).  Then there were ads that took over your whole web page.  Now, there are ads that pop-up when you hover over links.  Those are the worst.  You can never visit the links!  It's got to stop at some point.  Just today, I was trying to visit a link to a game, and an ad popped up from this ad service: http://text-enhance.com/

p.s. Once when an old computer got a virus, Zwinky ad people danced across the screen (the internet browser wasn't even on yet)!

I'll change this topic's title to be a bit more descriptive...
