Using Mozilla Firefox, the boards do take a long time to load up if at all. However, if I use Explorer, it seems to work fine. Anything you can do to make it more compatible with Firefox?

I guess with 60% of users still affixatated with IE, chess.com is trying to be user friendly. But I hate being IE friendly when its the Prima-donna of all the browsers. It often refuses to comply with W3C standards, and chooses to honour rules on a 'pick and choose' basis..... I still dont know why so many people are stuck to using IE, cause all other browsers: Opera, Firefox, Safari, SeaMonkey, GoogleChrome, are already so much better....

I've said my geek piece... God bless Microsoft.

Observation related to chess4capa's insight.  I been to a few countries and a lot of it applies to the less-than-computer ept in the US as well.   They bought their PC with whatever Windows most recent version was cramming down our throats and never add another browser.  They are too afraid of screwing things up and can't fix it.  I've even seen one with Win98 a year or so ago.  It was stable and did what they wanted so why muck with it?

Don't ask me any more about the W98 box or how they keep it secure, all that I know was that when you see something like that it stands out.

Oh and God bless the 800-pound cyber-gorilla.
