cheaters never really win...
Making something illegal doesn't stop it from happening, it just makes people try more to cover it up. People are going to cheat, and no matter how Erik and co. try to stop it, it will continue.

I think chess.com is doing a great job to prevent cheating. It is such a large chess web site so u cant be surprised if there is a lot of wanna be chess players cheating, but every time they do they don't seem to stay long as chess.com team staff work it out and stop them fast. Just have to deal with the fact people can be stupid and cheat with engines and so on.
At some point chess.com will have to have their own live OTB tournament where the top players would have to play in person.
