i do know about hanging pawns but i am in just desperate help right now as i suck at opening knowledge and positional understanding so i really would appreciate tips

Chests909

I think you should look over the openings and find which one you like for white and black

SOTNpsx

At your level I don't think you are going to find good opening videos on Youtube. Try Chessable or a good book buddy

i like caro kann, london, vant krujis, ruy lopez, QG, reti, and some positional openings but i just hate playing against d4 as black as i dont know what to do and feel stuck most of the time. for white i hate lines with c5 or just sicillian in general so i try to avoid playing e4 and go for more positional grinds trying to get some slight advantage later on and flaring in the middlegame

You must try chessable and as you said you do not feel comfortable against d4 you can take Peter swidler grunfeld course and learn grunfeld as I am learning it  and if you don't like sicilian then you can then an open sicilian course and you will never hate sicilian and love to play against them

He still regularly uploads, so you can watch his videos

There are a lot of very good youtube channels that inform about chess openings! "Hanging pawns" and "thechesswebsite" are already mentioned, I would like to add some other channels:

- Agadmator

- Gothamchess

- Saint Louis Chess Club

- Krishna Prem (aka "Chess openings")

Kowarenai

i dont think antonio focuses on too much openings, levy does which did help me a bit for caro kann and i have watched some saint louis videos as they were really cool with finegold but super long so i kind of stopped watching them for months now. ill look into Krishna as i dont know who she is but it sounds like she is fascinating, thanks for the recommendations!
