Has anyone else's app suddenly started appearing in a completely different, much more simplified format? Are some updates going on?
There is a major upgrade to o the Android app being rolled out. I don't know about iOS.
Im finding the user interface during games really jittery. I pretty much can't play Bullet any more.
I hope that it's not going to stay like this. At the minute it's pretty much like a scaled down version of the desktop site.
My Android app just updated, too, and I am quite miffed. Not only did the app lose all my theme customizations, but it makes it extremely time-consuming and cumbersome to get the original piece font back. This is a menu issue, and it is no longer possible to change themes during a game.
In addition, the piece menu shows only a few pieces, not the entire set. Some theme pieces show bishops and pawns, others show different pieces. My previous font doesn't seem listed at all, except for, possibly, the final option--which, however, when installed produces a completely different chess piece font!
Adding to this difficulty, the names of the chess piece fonts have been removed. Talk about aggravating.
I also hate the new app version 4.0.0-21788. Settings aren't even settings. Cannot turn sound off now. Have to do that via the device. What is most annoying for me is that i cannot now continue a game if I have either closed the app or turned my device off. Yes, i am miffed too. Bring back the old app. If it aint broke ....
Mine is quite slow and jerky as well, and I have a pretty powerful Android phone. But as far as I understood, the version we're using at the minute it just temporary until a full update has been launched? Or I'm wrong about that?
how do I turn the sound up so I can hear my peices click when they move...my phone is turned up but still I can barely here anything.

You should be able to turn off sounds under the Game setting

There are updates pretty frequently, but this was in beta back in October and has been officially released and has been slowly rolling out to everyone else since. They are doing a staged release.
Well, I actually prefer the cleaner look of this app on many levels. Definitely a change for the better
