Can we stop discriminating "Off-Topic"?

The subject of chess has been exhausted on this site. The conversations are getting dumber every day and there is a definite brain drain. The real conversations about chess rarely attain a level that creates value and most efforts to liven up the site take the form of talking about a subject related to chess but in reality wanting to talk about something else. Lets face it. We are first of all people with many interests and chess is something that we share. But we are interested in animals, travel, sports, books, movies, love, war, famous people, politics, religion, food, cars, bikes, clothes, philosophy,..
We should not be ashamed of talking about these things and i believe that calling this "off topic" is creating tension and pushing people to crazy conversation about "can i become a GM in one month" or "am i the best chess troll" i would like to other categories created like : our world, nature, discussions, other hobbies, disputes :-) etc.. After all it is the community that makes the forum tick and if it continues to degrade, well .. Pfffff... We should just stop pulling the dead horse.
Amen!

Yes I agree with the OP. I say we reverse the forums..make chess "off topic" and create new categories for travel, music, films, art, cuisine, cars, etc. (all things vastly more interesting and life enhancing than chess)
Totally disagree!

Retitle the thread "The Lou's prayer".
I think he's fed up chasing the women on here ..LOL!

Although I am 35, I do not wish to exclude ladies in the 21-30 age group from my group or the older groups. Although many girls in the 21-30 can be immature, there are exceptions so I don't want to discriminate the group as a whole just because of a few bad apples.

Did you just change your picture? You are in great shape, just like New Guinea tribal warrior. Good work!

Yes, thank you. I like to change the pic every so often to keep things fresh. (I know I should probably shave the 5 o' clock shadow, but am putting it off until tomorrow). I do take training with weights and nutrition pretty seriously because I like to fight and it helps me keep fit for it.

Lou , this is your umptieth attempt to put some life into this site , but the only thing it does is attracks flies. Lets face it , there are too many brainless, dull and irritating people already trying to ridicule you on this thread alone. They themselves have no creativeness but are only after destruction.
