Hi everyone, I am new to this site after having not played chess for some years now and wishing to take it up again. Can anyone recommend a good chess tutorial book for a beginner to intermediate player? Cheers Yogiadobe

I like the down-to-earth approach of the books written by Yasser Seirawan.
I am just an average player, and by no means knowledgeable in the best way to learn chess but I personally think the way to go about is to play as many games as you can and try to learn from your mistakes. The less mistakes you make, the more games you will win.
To me, books are just a side dish to get new ideas that I couldn’t think of.
