Chess.com Discord Server is the worst

great service
I cannot express how bias the moderators are on the chess.com discord server are. The amount of cheating and coaching during live games and the mods do nothing about it. The people in there are just as toxic by starting arguments and then playing victim, only to call a mod and get you muted. On top of that, if you get muted well good luck trying to get unmuted. I've been server muted for months for a mute that only lasts 1 day. Its stupid, and then when I go and message the guy to get me unmuted, he tells me he resigned as a mod that I will have to find someone else to do it. I mean who the hell is chess.com allowing to be moderator of their server. Last time I checked this is a company not someone's social group!

Mods are volunteers, trying to help their fellow players. Mods do not have the power to close accounts for cheating. If you suspect cheating, you are supposed to use the report button and the Fair Play team will check out the player.

I haven't ever tried to play a game on the Discord server. Why would someone do that? (What is the advantage over just playing in Live Chess?

How many players use the Discord server on a regular basis?

There is a good group of people (10-30 people) who join voice chats and share screens and get help from better players and the "volunteers" do nothing about it. So what are they volunteering for if I may ask?

As I said, I don't really use it. I just went in for 10 minutes to see what was going on. I saw two chats discussing games. Don't the people who start those rooms have any powers to mute people?

/ PS I have asked a moderator who was visible in the Discords to take a look.
