Hi,

I noticed very recently that chess.com ratings / ELO clearly have changed in meaning since I last played actively over 10 years ago. Specifically it looks like a 1350-1400 player is far more skilled than they were years ago.

I decided to look into it and I noticed something that appears bizarre when comparing my rating against other sites.

For chess.com, I am at a 1363 rapid rating which puts me in the 94.6% percentile of all persons on the website. To achieve the same percentile on litchess.com, you need to be rated about 2000-2050. That means if you use this entirely ad-hoc analysis, a 1363 rating on litchess is about equal to a 2000-2050 rating percentile wise on litchess.com.

litchess.com:

Is that accurate? And if so, how does this rating translate to other chess platforms such as FIDE/USCF?
