Chess dot com and alcohol

The longer I spend on this site (and I've learned a lot and enjoy interacting with people from all over the known world) the more I think the forums owe their life to drinking (and moderate drug use).

And that's a good thing!  Pretty much every thread on here has some drinking reference; it's a crucial part of world culture and serves to bond us all together in a convivial chess party.

Finlandia Vodka, probably.     Laughing

What is the percentage of acohol by volume?

That's good stuff. I did a double double of that one night. It was very smooth, no ice, water or a chaser required.

Just a few splashes of water in it helps.

Whisky is very aromatic unlike that vodka-rubbish.

Nah, this is more my style on an "at home chess night"

If You drink frozen FV, it´s almost like Ice Water.     Laughing

Oh yeah, that's why I have to drink about three bottles of Pellegrino before bed every night I'm on here, and wake up  the next morning feeling like crap.   Damn, and I thought it was my perennial losing!

Whisky makes me very argumentative (as most will testify!)

Sometimes am ''wino'' but drink pinot-grigio. :))

Though I have my preferences in spirits, if they are well made, I am unbiased as to the type. I look at it as, if you find a good example of something, why not find a way to appreciate it ? Maybe I am biased and like vodka and scotch ? Certainly, every brand of both liquiors isn't good.

I can imagine that Finlandia being very smooth...40% abv is common here

blackfirestorm

Here is mine mmmmm

My ex used to drink this:

(I blame it 100% for onset of insanity:-)

I'd rather have a good brandy or Cognac...unless you get the 50% abv...it's like cough syrup to me

blackfirestorm

Well I refuse to dilute it with crap like ice and mixers so it goes down just fine for me ... speaking of which I may go get a glass Tongue Out
