Pretty much everyone can appreciate a good golf shot. Chess doesn't lend it self to broad audiences and, as a consequence, telecasts.
Chess is more fun like golf, now why does'nt it make more money like golf?
This is very strange. How does such good topics like mine make small comments but simple topics to answer like "can a 1200 player win against a 2700 player?" make more comments, which is clearly obvious that the 1200 is inexperienced and the 2700 has grandmaster strength and alot and alot of experience than a 1200 player unless the 2700 player is really really tired or old or makes a mating blunder or the 1200 player is not really a 1200 player but just not taking part in otb tournaments or it was the 1200 player's day or the 2700 was ill or distracted. Strange.

It's a good question. I'd say there are various reasons. First, chess involves thinking, very deep thinking at elite leves, and we live in fast societies, where easiness and shallowness (not to confuse with stupidity) rule, so sitting to think for 4 hours non-stop might not seem very attractive to the crouds. Also chess is so to say, in some sense, a "static" activity, you play with your brain, not with the movement of your body, and in that sense it might represent a disadvantage when compared to most of the sports. Chess is beautiful but we have to recognize that sometimes after a game you ended up stressed of so much thinking, and that doesn't happen so much when physical activity is involved. When you move your body, very often you clear your mind. Playing chess sometimes, on the other hand, fulls it with variants, decisions to make, psychological battles, threats to avoid, the stress of time running, a state of constant alert...
Second, there is the stereotype and the prejudice that chess is for very smart people, nerds or geeks, not to say strange, and that it's boring, so that doesn't bring much popularity either.
Third, lack of promotion maybe because of the two previous reasons. You're right, a crowd attracting personality like Fisher would improve that these days, or if Brad Pitt was a chess fan or something like that.

In golf, the ball must fall into the hole,Even a Grand Mother knows that,Now in chess how do you explain that a slightly better position in Krammnik's hand can lead to win and in my hand lead to a loss?

Hint: one thread's title demonstrates a grasp of the English language. The other does not.
If Bobby Fischer was still alive, chess would be making billions and billions of euro's and dollar's... ...what is the FIDE Association doing about it? Nothing! Why are alot of people not willing to watch chess players play in otb tournaments just like in golf? (I know "the how..." But the problem is "will it...". I have this 1 brilliant idea, which I am going to ask what the FIDE association thinks about it later this year/month) ...In my perspective, chess would atleast make more money like golf.
