Hi I'm Craigherbertson's brother Scott Herbertson (Bardin1 on Chessmaniac) . We migrated some of our team over here and there is a Magical Moves club but not enough of us to justify playing as a team unfortunately. Our former leader Moondream joined a couple of years ago when I suggested we migrate here but his handle remains unused over here

Its a shame as Chessmaniac allowed for chat with team members which worked for us a light social side benefit,. The reason I found you comment is my brother is here with me in Scotland in my house in the highlands and we were musing about Chessmaniac's demise, I searched for it and your comment here came up...

I miss ChessManiac too. It was Dennis' fault that the site went down the tubes. He allowed the trolls to ruin the site and wouldn't upgrade the code. I agree this site here doesn't compare to CM. Team chats and the Public Chat, along with the forums, were great there. It was a fun site, warts and all.

I played at Chessmaniac for over 15 years with user name nrponugoti and captained the team Vandematarum. I might have played over ten thousand games there. In spite of all of its drawbacks I enjoyed playing team games and felt sad when finally vanished 2024.

Yes - I remember playing you- I think you had a similar avatar picture . I studied Indian history so had a few chats with some members of your team during games. I used to enjoy playing your team as generally your players had more open style and more king side openings

Guess there is no way to access our game history on Chessmaniac.com. I've got a lot of annotated games there I'd like to download to a drive.
