Chess mobile

I can access it on my iPod, so the iPhone would be able to as well... have you tried just going to the site on your phone's web browser?

I don't have Internet on my phone, but I know it should be possible for a text message be sent your phone when its your move. Myspace and facebook have when someone sends you a message, picture comment friend request etc..

Hello Everybody! I just installed Opera mini in my HTC SmartPhone and the site opens perfectly, including submitting moves!
Downloading Opera Mini directly to your phone is simple.
- Visit the web address mini.opera.com using your phone’s default Web browser.
- Follow simple on-screen download instructions.
- After the download, locate Opera Mini on your phone among other Java applications and start enjoying the blazing-fast mobile Web.
Cheers
Marcelo

I access www.chess.com via my Nokia N95 phone. It works great. It's just a little slow because it seems to download 0.5MB every time I make a move and move to the next game. It would be great if there was a mobile version of chess.com that worked in a more efficient way.

I have a palm centro, and just tried to get mini opera. Here's the message from palm:
As of January 12, 2008, Palm no longer has rights to distribute the IBM WebSphere Micro Environment Java Virtual Machine (JVM) to our customers. JVM allows users to install and run Java applications and games on Palm OS® devices.
Palm is not able to offer the JVM download or version upgrades. We will continue to support existing installations of JVM on our website.
We have advised Opera support that the Palm OS JVM is no longer available. There is no alternate Java Virtual Machine that we are aware of for Palm OS. We know of no way to run Opera Mini on Palm OS if you do not already possess the JVM. We regret the inconvenience.
So, palm users beware. I guess I have to wait for chess.com mobile.

I hate the way on my provider it is like this. First it costs 2c per kb until 99c and then you get 50mb free.

Does anybody know if Blackberry can access chess.com? I have it and I tried it but I have problems to pass the login even if I type the right username and password.

Opera is simply the best internet experience, and not just the Mini version. mozila shmozila, you can't get firefox working properly unless you install 100 add-on-s (and then the browser is simply crawling, not to mention the security issues). So what's the point then?
Also, lately people have been complaining that chess.com has problems loading the game boards on various browsers (such as IE and FF as I have seen with my own eyes), whereas this problem is much less visible in Opera. The flipside to that coin is that due to the same shoddy programming there is a bug in which you need to reload the chess.com page if you want to make a different move, but I learned to live with it in the hope that the chess.com staff will fix this issue so that I can play chess on my Opera as it was meant to be played.
Just my two cents...
Does anyone know if chess.com has chess mobile? I find it aggravating to log in and out of my account every hour checking to see if my opponent has moved and its still not my turn yet. I believe with chess mobile on our phones it would make games go by faster because we would know that instant that our opponent has moved rather than waiting and hoping that by the time you get off from work that someone has moved and its your turn. I'm pretty sure everyone on here has a life outside of chess and does not want to sit in front of the computer for 1 hour and have only3 moves. Even leaving the computer and coming back every 15 minutes hoping its your turn becomes a pain in the you know what.
I know myspace has myspace mobile for phone services such as T-mobile, sprint, Verizon etc and I enjoy having it on my phone.
