My flaming dragon chalice is best, of course!
(It is a pic I took of the chalice my wife and I were testing for our wedding. Paraffin wax with wood chips melted into a Dixie cup makes a great chalice fuel! I took several shots and by luck got one that looked like a dragon head.)

goldendog's is very recognizable and iconic. of course everyone knows the great Erik by now. sharkpoet sometimes has a braveheart avatar thats just wicked. i like my old avatar of Spassky smoking but Shabalov looking all confused is doing me just fine right now. and pbubbles lou frigno hulk pic is great

Well they exist, so what are your favourite user avatars? The ones which just really sum up the character and personality of your favourite forum posters so well.
So I was a huge fan of Rebs old cat avatar. Ozzies penguin is very good, and Goldendogs retriever avatar is very recognizable. Batgirls is also fantastic.
As for avatars which I think sum up the persona of the poster I'm going to go with ilikeflags, awardchess and Rael (when it's a picture of himself).
