I once made a typo and searched up chess.cm and it was a dangerous website. I think that hackers use common websites names with typos to make dangerous webistes

Chess.com is very safe. The message you got may have been from a fake source. It might have been meant to lure you to a site with viruses.
If you re stil worried, hereare some tips:
Have a good anti-virus program.
Do not reveal any personal info to chess.com (e.g. use a fake name, fake age, fake location)
Play chess.

I have seen this notice also.
As suggested by others I think the pop ups MAY have trojans etc
I think Erik said that for any of us receiving that alert, just ignore it for the time being. Not to worry, there is no threat from that alert.

You do know that this thread is 15 yrs old?.....I don't think anything was safe in 2010.
