I'd be very keen to see in iPhone app for chess.com!
Anything in development I wonder?
One more for the short term list: I'd love to be able to view my waiting games when it's not my move.
I've also noticed that when you choose "Menu" from within a game your only options are "Resign", "Offer Draw" and "Exit". Sometimes I just want to close the menu and go back to the game screen, not exit the mobile app. Can "Exit" be changed to "Back" and just close the menu instead of the application?
Count me as vote #2 for an iPhone app.
Here is another vote for an iPhone app....
Erik:
Because of the new mobile application, there is virtually no place I can go to escape chess! You are contributing to my addiction

Isn't it great?

yeah! i myself am too young 2 have a mobile.
TheGrobe <- When in the menu on the game screen, dont you see a cancel on the lower right side of the screen? Just press that and your out of the menu. When the menu closes the right menu key changes to 'back', which will take you back to the games list.
Yes, but I was only scrolling up and down. As advertised, scrolling to the right gets the job done.
Thanks Flanne.
Looking at the LG Rumor specs seems to indicate that the phone doesn't support the java demands for the mobile app.
Ok, a couple more:
When I view a game on the mobile app, it would be great if it turned off the corresponding game alerts online.
I also came across a bug today where my opponent's h7 pawn jumped to d6 and stayed there until I refreshed my games. I knew something was up right away because I knew what the position was, but it was a little disconcerting to have an inaccurate position displayed, particularly as I'm basing my moves off of what I see on the screen. Unfortunately, for the life of me I can't reproduce it now, but I thought it might have been related to scrolling up instead of down an attempt to get to the "Back" button at the bottom of the screen more quickly....
Yeah the bug is the same as in:

Of course it must be fixed.
I saw that there was a new release (v1.1) -- the games list focus issue looks to have been addressed (looks great, by the way), but I can't see anything else that's obviously changed (other than an inability to scroll up through the top of the games list to put the focus on the menus at the bottom).
Can you tell us what else was in there? A fix for the peice misplacement bug? Anything else?

#1 - misplaced pieces bug fixed.
#2 - UI change with darker selection bar
#3 - better connection (tries 3 times before failing)
I've been using this interface since yesterday, and have a couple of quick observations and items for the wish list:
· I’m finding that the alternating shading bands on the Games list are incredibly easy to confuse with the focus. Perhaps a colour other than grey, or disposing of it altogether would help.
· Visibility into whether an opponent is on-line or not on the mobile interface would be fantastic.
· The ability to create a new seek or challenge, or to accept existing ones would also be great.
I know that the capabilities of the interface are limited by the screen space and horsepower available on mobile devices, but I think these would be some great features for the short to medium term.
In the longer term, I think that there is a ton of potential including exposing interfaces to conditional moves, tactics trainer, chess mentor, computer training, game history, statistics and maybe someday even live chess and the forums. My fingers are crossed….
Finally, is there a new “on-line indicator” that lets other users know when I am online via a mobile device versus a PC (much as there currently is to tell users whether I’m in live chess or not)?
