omg. If this is true this would be so sad, not sure if it is though.
Chess.com VIRUS!

I'm pretty sure it's not true. It's a business site, after all. They wouldn't delibrately do this. It's either a false positive or you were running something else that used Java.

Yeah. It's probably not approprite to go accusing Chess.com of spreding a virus until you have all the facts.
I DID THIS ON MY IPHONE! STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT THE QUALITY AND START COMPLAINING ABOUT HOW CHESS.COM TRIES TO INSTALL ADWARE/VIRUS ON YOUR COMPUTER!!!!!

I never meant to imply you did not have an issue. Just that it is very highly doubtful that Chess.com would be passing a virus.
That looks more like you already have some type of virus on your system.
I just tried the Live Chess, as is dozens of people every minute, and, so far, nobody else has had this issue.
But you would do best to contact Chess.com support directly.
Kleelof. I'm a software developer. Not only do I have a antivirus on my computer, but my computer is locked down and secure. There is .000000000001% chance of my computer having a virus on it.

Your Java install could potentially be compromised by another source.
Since it is a potential support issue I'm moving this to support. As it's also potentially very misleading I'm going to lock it until another member of staff deals with it.
If there is a problem it can then be unlocked and discussed further.
Thanks
I just found that Chess.com tried to put a VIRUS on my computer! I am using Windows 7 with FireFox. I was playing and got the following screenshot in the middle of a game
Look at the URL! It's not from Java.com. It's from updatejing.com. So instead of installing on my computer, I downloaded the file, and put it into a Virtual machine. When I ran the file, this is what AVG gave me :
I STRONGLY RECOMMEND EVERYONE STOP USING CHESS.COM. GET ANTIVIRUS INSTALLED ON YOUR COMPUTER AND SCAN YOUR COMPUTER!!!!
CHESS.COM IS A SCAM SITE!!!!
