Coaching from 2000+ fide; best format?

I personally found it more useful for my coach to go over my own recent slow game losses against stronger (ranging from slightly to greatly higher rated) opposition than have a direct head-to-head game where I'm not going to be playing the same way as I do competitively. 

Sure, it makes zero logical sense that I would play a teacher any differently than another player (I should always give my best) but this is the reality.

Even better if my coach watches me play such a game against somebody else online and silently hears me talk-through my thought process + analysis move-by-move. 

Always a fan of hearing a stronger player's thoughts, but even a bigger fan of hearing said stronger player "correct" what is wrong in my own thoughts :)

It would be viable if your student is strong enough (ie. 1800+), else I think the mismatch is too large for it to be really useful.
