A guy is going on a banning streak.

I doubt mods will be banning people just cause some guy said so without engine-verifying games. Besides, he'll eventually get himself banned if the mods notice a trend.

How does he gain points if he intentionally loses?

1. That's still not gaining points if you only get back the ones you lost.

2. They don't give back rating points.

3. I'm going back to not caring now.

Oh please.  Is your rating worth $$ to you or something?  If you are concerned with cheating, try playing a game where you cant cheat:  Go(wei-chi).  If you are playing someone and they are really strong, the chances that that player is using a computer are next to 0% because Go, unlike chess cannot be faked.  Look at chess for a pleasant distraction from the main study of Go.  And if concerned about cheating, play chess960 where there is essentially no opening preparation involved or possible.

@ MOCLAC: So in other words, everytime this guy accuses someone of cheating chess.com automatically believes him? AND he "gains points" by doing this?

Are you interested in purchasing a bridge I own that connects Brooklyn to Manhattan?
