Countries Awards

I've just noticed the countries category in the awards in ones profile. Is this new or have I just never noticed it? 

I like it though I'm sure it'll cause some political discussion. Nice idea to see some colourful flags. It's something that makes chess.com so exciting to see how global this pastime is. 

I'm just noticing that! It's a nice touch, those awards come in form of stickers, and you earn the award according to the nationality of your opponent. It's a collection of flags.

It's newish. Maybe a couple of months old.

Yeah. Remember playing somebody from Fiji, which has a cool flag. Shame you can't be sure they are genuine though.

Which nation has the coolest flag? Many of them are just boring. Off the top of my head... mexico, greece, croatia.

I like Wales although I'm slightly biased but it's definitely cool.

I think the American flag is the coolest. It's the only country flag in the world that has to be modified every time a new state is added. Perhaps Puerto Rico will become a state someday.

Which means if Texas leaves USA a star has to be deleted from the flag, right? Coolest flag AND country is Tuvalu, btw.

Seychelles is really cool too

I quite like the Turkmenistan flag. Lovely colours and patterns on that band.
