For those of you who haven't heard by now, our two resident IMs, Danny Rensch and David Pruess, stars of the popular Chess.com/TV show, Pardon Our Blunders, will be facing off in a Vote Chess match against Chess.com starting tomorrow morning at 11 AM Pacific/2 PM Eastern/7 PM London time.
So far, 2325 people have taken on the challenge and are answering the call to band together to try and take Danny and David down. Each side gets only 5 minutes to make their respective moves and the IMs have graciously taken Black in this game, Chess.com getting the White pieces. Not only will they be playing the game, but they will also be LIVE on Chess.com/TV from 10 AM - 2 PM Pacific time! Why? So you can watch them debate and go over the moves and just do what they do best; entertain us.
They will be doing that through the entire game so you'll be able to hear and see behind the scenes what goes down between these two as they take on Chess.com. The show is open to Platinum/Diamond members but the game is open to everyone. A few masters and STAFF have also joined up to help the team out.
Feeling lucky? Just go the Vote Chess Game Index and sign up. Remember, each side only gets 5 minutes per move to vote so team-work on the Chess.com side must be good with communication. I'm guessing some of the higher rated players are going to take charge, but if they all work together, the results could be interesting.
I myself signed up for the game but won't be saying or contributing anything because I am LIVE-Blogging this game and once it's over, it will go up as a NEWS post on the front page of Chess.com for those who have missed out. It should be an epic match.
So bring your "A" game and sign up today! Good luck Chess.com! You'll need it!
