Entering and editing PGN files

I'm new to this so this may be kindergarten to others...

I figured out how to enter my game record from my scorebook using the Analysis function. The problem I'm having is how to fix a mistake on entering. Sometimes I just make the wrong move on the screen. Sometimes it's because there's an error in the scoresheet. When I try to fix the mistake, it creates a variation. I need to figure out how to get rid of the erroneous moves and make the variation become the main line.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you right click on the move, you should be able to delete it.

That didn't work the first time I tried it. I just gave it another shot and it seemed to work. Is there a way to enter "resign?" or do I need to just leave it unfinished?

From Wikipedia:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Algebraic_notation_(chess)#End_of_game

End of game [edit]

The notation 1–0 at the completion of moves indicates that White won, 0–1 indicates that Black won, and ½–½ indicates a draw. In case of forfeit, scores 0–0, ½–0, and 0–½ are also possible. If player(s) lost by default, results are +/−, −/+, or −/−.

Often there is no indication regarding how a player won or lost (other than checkmate, see above), so simply 1–0 or 0–1 may be written to show that one player resigned or lost due to time control or forfeit. (Similarly, there is more than one way for a game to end in a draw.) Sometimes direct information is given by the words "White resigns" or "Black resigns", though this is not considered part of the notation but rather a return to the surrounding narrative text.

When you are on this page :

https://www.chess.com/analysis?tab=analysis

and manually making the moves to create the PGN,
how do you MANUALLY on the board say : this player resigned now?
I do not meango to the tab "deatils" and enter : COLOR won
I mean like in a real game : you click resign.
When creating a PGN by hand we should on chess.com have the SAME EXACT option, we should not have to go to details and enter the win. This must be edited.
