sort of... just what was in the other thread... that he had personal issues to take care of right now
Eo

I don't see why that would require deleting your account entirely. You're not obligated to log in on a regular bases just because you have an account here.

Deleting your account is much more dramatic, especially after building up to it by announcing your upcoming departure.

Who knows what his plan was or is. The last post from him that I recall in his announcement thread made it sound like he had once again decided to postpone his departure.
One thing's for sure-- when his account was closed, a lot of trivial threads started by Eo disappeared in a flash.

Last time he said he was leaving, he was griping about his rating, but it had gone up quite a bit since then.

I didn't know anything about that. What happened?
I don't know. Somebody told him one of his games had been anilysed on chess TV. I don't knowif it really had been, or they were just joking, or what.

He had a hard time believing it too, until FM Liu confirmed it for him. The game was against yorugua, another strong (2300) player. 1/2-1/2
Did he win?

Woodshover, no, it was a draw (hence the 1/2-1/2); yorugua had a win in the middlegame but misplayed it, and Eo____ had a winning line in the endgame that he did not find. (Haha, messages from me to you are like when push comes to shove.)
Good one. He seemed to have improved a lot since he joined the site, and not improving was what he was mad about several months ago.
Did Eo ever say why he decided to take off.
