Oic. I think the chess.com server reacts to certain words automatically ("ass" in your case). It doesn't matter in what context u say them, as long as you type the word in ur chat the server automatically kicks you.
I've heard people say it's just for like 5 minutes. Definitely no more than 30 I think.
I said something rude on this website, and I got kicked from live chess. How long am I kicked for?
