Has chess.com's cheat detection ever closed an innocent account? Are there appeals?

I am a very precautions and anxious ostrich. There is this great article they wrote which has eased my thoughts knowing they truly care about getting as many cheaters off as possible. https://www.chess.com/article/view/chess-com-fair-play-and-cheat-detection
Now I still don't fully understand how the accuracy percentage works but I have been getting in the high 90's almost every game. I have never used engine or any other kind of illegal assistance and never will but is it possible this makes me a suspect?

They posted a video several months ago explaining how the accuracy measure is not used as a cheat detector.

I can't remember if it was the same video but they explained that they only close accounts where they are 99.9% certain.  There are occasionally people who get their accounts closed who appear and provide a convincing demonstration that they didn't deserve to have their accounts closed. However, it is a handful of accounts out of the ten thousand plus that are closed every month.

Thanks! I am no longer worried. If anything I am amazed at how thorough they are. They also review games manually. My only fear was that they had a computerized system that went off accuracy.

There's one famous guy who was closed for cheating...but his account was reopened recently. He is a very famous troll though.

I'm weird.  I'm one of those "If you didn't do anything, you don't have anything to worry about." types.

Haha. Ostriches eat puny bugs, snakes, and spiders. I was born in the darkness, molded by it. Ostriches can't get "the disease". Ostriches can fly they just do it in secret. Getting closed falsely and other birds I know think I am cheating not to mention I'd lose my paid membership... 0-0

Awesome video by IM @DanielRensch I basically just commented so I can retrieve this video to send to others in the future - too many do not understand CAPS and cheat detection; this was very well explained without getting too detailed. happy.png
