Why didn't those girls simply delete the notes which bother them?

Deleting a note doesn't stop its intent. It merely stops other people from seeing it

I delete EVERY note posted....I come here to play and learn and have fun with my friends....if the person posting the Notes keeps insisting I ask him to STOP in a very educated way.....Thank goodness I've never had a situation of being harrassed....I guess I am very CLEAR asking not to bother me.

Bear in mind that its quite easy to upload a photo of a female as a male in order to attract same sex attention. In fact I suspect this is precisely the case with many of the (fe)males on this site. If I was a female not wanting attention I'd upload a photo of stupid hairy man in order to deter unrequited interest.
The female has every right to post her original pic.The people who leave unnecessary notes should bear in mind that this is a chess site.
When faced with a set of photos of hairy men how do I tell which ones are stupid?

Thank you for starting this topic. I fully agree with your first comment. I am a woman and came to this site to just play and learn chess and have been "hit" on by several players. It's a chess forum not a dating game. I do have to say that I have only run into a few but they have kindly left me alone once I told them to (except one guy.... But I just blocked him). I have found way more players on here that are simply wanting to play chess and have clean nice chat. It is true though that women have that sort of thing happen to them all the time.....would be nice if everyone respected all others and just played for the enjoyment of the game.

Well being female is a lot harder than being male. I think it was a nice gesture on his part. It probably falls on deaf ears though.
Everytime I visit a females page on this site her notes are constantly full of vile comments and a lot of men saying "hi ;)". I don't understand. The females of this site must be absolutely sick of it. After looking at a few of the members who are doing it, it becomes obvious that they are merely on this site to talk to and attract females?! They have 50+ friends, all females, no current games and ratings lower than 1200, with exceptions. Their notes page is either blocked completely so no-one can post in them (to hide all the comments they'd get back, I imagine), or they're full of comments back from normal men telling them to get a life. I don't understand these people. If they want to find someone with common interests, that's fine. Just do it on a dating website instead! If they're looking for a certain other thing, don't do it to an innocent person on a chess website. Get rid of these people!
