I need your support. I hate having ads on Chess.com - it makes the site ugly and slow. Chess.com costs a lot of money to run - we have more than 20 servers and a great team of dedicated chess players working full-time to create the features you request! But we're not some huge corporation. We don't have investors or other jobs. We're just guys and gals with a passion for the game and a vision to make Chess.com every chess player's dream! We need to pay the bills and to do that it takes money. The ads don't even cover costs. We depend on paid memberships from members like you to support the site.
I know it's hard to pay for things online and I don't like asking, but please ask yourself how much you enjoy Chess.com and if your time on Chess.com is worth at least a few cents a day, then pleasesubscribe today. Even a $5 subscription goes a long way. Think about it - for about the price of one dinner and a movie you can enjoy a membership for a whole year!
So chess.com are happy to harass members for $5, but give away $800 in a "death match"...
That's the equivalent of 160 premium memberships...
another point- why advertise a feature that is easy to get for free (adblock).
also, I hate being sent "personal" messages from a bot.
I just received this message:
