What sources do I need, what lectures should I study, what games should I analyse and what practise should I do, to get a rating of 2000? How do I improve my playing standards?

The whole site is set up to offer lessons, drills, puzzles and videos that will teach you everything leading masters know about chess.
No one has a precise list of games to study or lessons to take.
You get to choose.

Why is it that nobody ever says "I started playing basketball and watched a video of LeBron recently, how long until I can be a NBA star?" or "I started playing football, how long before I can win a World Cup like Messi?", but so many players who have only just started playing chess think it is just a matter of "how long"?
@supergminthemaking you are at the stage of the journey that all beginners are, you have learned some good ideas already but are losing games because you are hanging pieces. It's much too late to become a GM now, almost all players who reach GM level started playing at 4 or 5 years old. It might be possible to reach 2000 but you have to set smaller goals and work your way up gradually.
The key to improvement is enjoying the game and setting realistic goals. There is no magic formula for reaching any rating level. You just have to keep analyzing your games, working on your weaknesses and learning more about the game over many years.
It is the journey that is rewarding in itself. The journey is more important than the final destination.
And while becoming a GM yourself should not be your main goal, following the advice of Grandmasters is usually a good idea. This idea from Chess Mood could help you gain hundreds of rating points over the long term: https://www.chess.com/blog/Avetik_ChessMood/the-importance-of-having-a-training-sparring-partner-part-1

You mainly have to do puzzles, book learning, and practice until you 'get' what the level you're trying to reach entails. Watch some GM games, preferably with commentary by other GMs, and unless you can think along or even come up with some good moves yourself you're nowhere near professional level.
A lot about finding the best move has to do with getting your priorities straight. Lower levels get confused about that, for example grabbing material while an attack is going on. Or not seeing key possibilities to open lines, and instead they're focused on one-dimensionally targeting a weakness. It becomes very positional at 2000 level and pawn structures become key as well so that every little move counts big time.
A nice thing about chess.com is that when you get near 2000 elo, you gain far more elo points (20-30 per win). It just happened to me today as I got near 2000 for the first time (after 3 years of practice).

"Grandmaster" excuisitly requires OTB play, and there you don't start playing asking stuff like "how to become a Grandmaster?" or "how to become 2000?", but rather "how to become a 1300?" and then gradually raising the bar. And have in mind that a rating like 1300 FIDE is approximately equivalent to 1700 chess dot com, or 2000 LiChess.
I figured as much. My own goal was to reach 1750-1800, FIDE that is. Can I ask: what would that translate to here?
@17
The difference is smaller than that: look at yourself:
2308 chess.com rapid
2214 FIDE standard
Difference 2308 - 2214 = 94

Well, you start from a target like 1300 FIDE, which is about 1700 chess dot com. Of course this is not exact, as the playing pools are very different both numerically and qualitatively, but roughly, the difference is close to that.
I beg to differ with these figures because I stopped OTB play about two years ago with a rating of FIDE 1790 (long controls; ~1700 in blitz and rapids) and this is where my rating fluctuates on chess.com in blitz when I play here (going above 1800 is rare, I'm below this on extended periods of time).
I my rating range chess.com elos and fide seems to match.

A big thank you to everyone who contributed to the discussion.
It means a lot getting advice from complete strangers on the internet.
For now, I have re evaluated my goals. My current goal is to reach 1500 on chess[.]com and analyze my lost games.
Gracias.

"The higher you get on the rating scale, the smaller the rating difference gets."
++ That is not logical.
expected result of A playing B = function (rating A - rating B)
If you with your 2308 chess.com rapid rating and 2214 FIDE standard rating play a player rated say 2000 chess.com rapid, then there is no reason why you would have a better chance winning from him over the board FIDE than online in rapid.

Hello Friends,
This question is mainly for Chess professionals. How do I get a rating of 2000?
Grandmasters are above 2500.
If you haven't reached 2000 by age 20, you'll never be a Grandmaster.

Can you prove me wrong? Find a grandmaster who didn't reach 2000 by 20 years old (not counting those who became teenagers before FIDE adopted the Elo rating system in 1970). You can't.
Hello Friends,
This question is mainly for Chess professionals. How do I get a rating of 2000?
I am in my late 20s and wish to establish this milestone as a New Year Resolution.
I have seen a video of someone similar who started as a beginner and in two years, was able to get a rating of 2000.
What books should I read?
What games should I analyse?
What openings should I make my repertoire?
What teams should I join?
I am ready to practise 2 hours daily.
Waiting for an early reply.
Thanking you,
Yours Sincerely,
supergminthemaking.
