how to join the Legend league ?

Still you must finish first of Champion league, this means many games played of which many wins. So difficult to be ELO 800 and be in the Legend League...

yeah you have to be #1 in champion leauge then you can join this club ONLY for legend leauge players. and you can get prizes (from what i heard) depending on what place you get in legend leauge.

Hikaru is #4 in one of ca. 16,000 parallel LL divisions. That only means that he got the 4th highest number of game points in his division; it says nothing at all about the quality of his play. If you´re trying to get into the LL, aim for maybe 1500-2000+ points in a week, depending on your competitors in the same division.

Once you´re in, you can neither be relegated ever again, but nor can you ever win anything. The whole League thing is designed to make people play more games = more clicks on the site = more ad revenue for chess.com.

Yes, since no benefits despite the achievement and the flattering name Legend, you must play a lot and win a lot to reach the 16 000 parallel Legend Leagues. More clicks more revenues. This also explains why so many spams are still tolerated since people react to spammers, click more and as you said more revenues...?

There are no prizes for placing in any division in any league tiers or leaderboards.

The Legend club used to have prize events and my understanding is staff are planning on bringing those back at some point.

At this point, it's true you can't win anything. However, prize events are planned to return at some point and there's also the possibility other things will change as well.

Been trying for a year to get into legend league. Requires so much dedication

Don’t get what is so hard about doing it, it took me only three or four attempts to come first in champion league, and I only had about 500 trophies

What's the point of leagues if they don't represent a level ?

@chekagain because they can spam at will. Just look at Daily puzzle comments... Chess.com must re-inforce anti Spamming rules and taskforce. @Erik, shouldn't MODs be paid fairly to be even more motivated?

Proposals: After X spam signaling from players, the person should be banned and MODs should have the power to ban excessive spammers, pareto rule, 20/% of spammers result into 80% of spams.

Chess.com would be even more enjoyable to use.

I wish I could help to make chess.com an even better place.
