I set up a Caro Kann tournament about 3 days ago now, and so far it has go four participants. I have sent the invite to 2 groups, and commented on the notes of two of my other groups. Why am I still getting a no-show?

Thanks, Calum.

Themed tournaments are harder to fill. See the lower popularity of the themed official chess.com tournaments compared to the standard official chess.com tournaments.

7th Chess.com Thematic Tournament - Old Indian Defense (1401-1600) started 2010 05 01 with 657 players.

11th Chess.com Tournament (1401-1600) started 2010 06 01 with 1367 players.

Your group invitations are not effective.

1 - Some invitees do/did not play online chess NidoTheKing.

2 - Most invitees are basic members and would likely be already playing in their one member-created tournament.

3 - Most of the invitees are no longer on the site Killer_ace,  jack1998hp.

I suppose, is there anything I can do to improve popularity then? Also @ kacparov, you have just under 1100 on the go ;-)
