Congrats!
I am a USCF Candidate Master Now 🎴🐉⚡🔥

CM norms? That's bizarre. In most (all?) countries all you need is rating.
in the US there's a different type of CM title which requires performance norms and rating despite the fact that the National Master title ignores this aspect only needing a rating of 2200 to earn

It's all turned into a big racket. When you have to pay for the title that should tell you something. Nobody's going to be impressed by a CM or NM title, and don't get me started on women's titles. IM or GM titles are for elite chess players, especially GM and that's one really worth shooting for. Otherwise forget it.

There are still tough requirements to be met. It's still impressive to me (outside tournament title awards). Why put it down?

Cool. It's obvious that if there is a practice that's reasonable and the whole world uses it, the US will do the exact opposite.
But congrats for the title!
finally attained my 5 CM norms to become a USCF Candidate Master
