I made a tool to calculate your chess.com play time

A win/loss time of day heatmap sounds like a great idea! I'll work on it.
I got the data from chess.com API, they don't provide the exact play time but they do have the start and end time of games from the PGN

See how pathetic Hikaru's is by comparison?
You can clearly tell he sleeps from midnight to 8am like a filthy normie.

Hi, did you use the chess.com API to get this data or some other method?
It is with chess.com's public API

hello, returning back to suggest a feature like a view back in time. I imagined something like a slider that would allow you to see how you played when you had, e.g., 1000 hours to compare games and overall progress and some info like at which game did you reach these time milestones. Anyway, just an idea. Thank you very much for this tool you've made, truly.

Is this data completely accurate cause I’ve played 6500 games in total but got only 450 hours in 2 years

I'm not guaranteeing the accuracy of the data but I see you mostly have bullet and blitz games. Assuming you play the most popular time controls and also assuming that both players use their full game time:
Blitz (3min): 2658 games * 6 min = 15948 min (~266 hours)
Bullet (1min): 3022 games * 2 min = 6044 min (~101 hours)
Rapid (10min): 913 games * 20 min = 18260 min (~304 hours)
So in theory, the maximum amount of hours you could have played is 671 hours
Pretty much every game shows you how many hours you've played. I found a way to extract the actual play time of chess games and made this website:
https://www.chesstime.io/
It will show you the total amount of hours you've spent playing chess on chess.com and other stats like the time of the day that you play the most.
Hope you find this helpful!
