I think Aniko had about 3000 for awhile, so you are about 2991 short.
I want to set a record!

Limits on accepting open seeks and creating open seeks were put in place to deter such behaviour. It can only end in a massive number of timeouts. Before that occurred though, many of your opponents would be calling for your head.
As a platinum or diamond member you may join every tournament for which you are eligible.

don't do it. it's a really bad idea because then you will end up timing out on all those games and ruining your account. trust me. a bad, bad, idea.
try to play well and set the record for highest rating (about 2850)?
"Highest rating" depends on what system you use. Thing is, I highly doubt that Chris2636 is going to break it (no offense), since he's not already a titled player.

Lets see... Assuming you sleep 6 hours and play chess 18 hours per day, you have 18x60=1080 min. If you play all games at the rate 1move/3days, you have 3240 min to play 3500 moves which means you need to make all moves every 40-45 sec (average). It seems to be great challenge to complete all games winning 1-2% of them.
What if all games you play at 1move/5 days? You can count details in the same way, but still it seems to be impossible to go up in your rating.
And how long could you play chess 18 hours per day?
But if you insist on beating some record you might try to win 3500 consecutive games. Seems to be more reasonable.

As of 2009 07 19 this player is on pace to breaking a 219 game losing steak.
Does anybody know the record for most games played at once? I would like to beat it.
