Don't use Chrome, too many problems while playing chess.com.
You must be referring to issues with Live Chess I assume? I use Chrome and think it's fantastic, but then I don't play live.

I don't play live and have no problems with Chrome. I just saw IE9 had been released and gave it a try; it seems quick. I just had problems with the chess.com page so I stopped playing eith IE and went back to Chrome. IE9 seemed to work with the other sites I tried though.
You need to either use a different browser or un-install version 9 and re-install version 8
We don't support version 9 so if thats what you have installed, it will cause problems viewing certain areas of the site.
Sorry
ka05.. if you are having a flash message uninstall/reinstall or upgrade to the latest flash. I had to upgrade my flash to make IE9 work with some other sites... B
It's not a problem for me, I was just making sure chess.com knew about IE9's feature! I just wanted to see it, I don't routinely use IE.
i haven't tried FF beta, but IE9 is easy enough to un-install then re-install IE8 as 8 is still supported by Microsoft.

I've tried the 4.0 beta of Firefox, and didn't have any problems.
Chess.com "Don't Support IE" That's a real shame as they are cutting off half of all the people who use computers in the world. 700 Million or so people can't access the site properly using the browser they use lol.
Especially since IE9 is not a bad browser at all, infact it's totally pleasent to use it's a shame. Hopefully this will be resolved soon.
You'd think backwards compatibility would be their responsibility, not yours. These are not issues that are limited to chess.com.

Why not just support W3C Standards? If it's not part of the standard, in my opinion it has no place at all on the Internet. If you can't do it within the standard, then do it server-side so that you can feed 100% compliant source to the client.
Lack of standard support is the biggest reason for various browser issues (ESPECIALLY where IE is involved), and all these vendors attempting to make their browsers support some 1990s era tag-soup simply propagates bad web design.

IE any version is bad. I dont understand why people put up with Microcrap software. If cars, food,, homes, clothes, electronics were made as poorly as Microcrap products people would raise holy hell. But simply because its "point and click" people just continue to bend over and take it.
Microcrap will never improve their product because they know people will not take the time to learn Linux, etc.
With your ignorant comment it is clear to see that you are one of many who can't think for themselves and follow the common vibe floating around the net even when that infomation is outdated and incorrect. You are talking to someone who not only has used almost every Linux distro out there but also nearly every browser that has ever existed. The reality is the days of Microsoft being "crap" are long over, they became slack for a long while as they had next to NO competition what so ever. This however has now changed.
The reality is I can say with 99% assurence than you have not even tried IE9, so you go on your merry way bitching about stuff you haven't even tried and while Microsoft continues to dominate and improve it's products I'll use what I fancy using because I will use what I WANT to use rather than use what some fanboy forum tart tells me I should use. Aint nothing wrong with IE9 it's a lovely browser and a HUGE jump forward for Microsot.
I was using Chrome and Firefox, but I am currently using IE9 and rather enjoying the experience.
Bye Bye
