I'm new :)

I just signed up yesterday, so yeah im one of the newest here. I began playing boardgames when i was like 4 yrs old, played snakes & ladders and checkers for like 2 years. Then when I was about 6 I started playing with my family. Parents and siblings absolutely sucked at it but my uncles were REALLY good.

Then somewhere along the line I just simply lost an interest in chess, didn't play another game till i was like 12, started having an interest again but stopped playing after a few months. I'm 14 now and I started playing against the computer since january this year and got really good. So good I actually made it into the school chess team in july.

Chess would have to be my 2nd favourite game to play. My absolute favourite would be have basketball which I played since i was 11. But just like chess I had a horrible start. The high school that I go to now is full of people who've played b-ball since they could walk and the gap between them was absolutely huge and I always lost. But I tried my best no matter what and trained my body to it's limit to get better.

Looking back I remember all the little achievements I made, Like the first time I scored, the first time I wasnt picked last on a team at school. In just 2 and a half years after trying my best Ive gone and become equals with child prodigies and I would even say Ive become better than most of them.

Now im trying to continue to become better, both at chess and basketball, pushing both my mind and body to their limits. I'll gladly take any advice you guys offer me and please should you come across me on the live games, please just put up with my noob-ness as I continue to improve. :D
