Really?
Ipad app for Cheating

http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/chess-cheats-for-chess.com/id457432170?mt=8
justrookin have you used the app (I mean to check it out, not to cheat) or spoken to someone else who did/does? I agree the description certainly makes it sound like a cheating app, but I'd like to see it in action first however I don't use an ipad. BTW give links in the future whenever possible not everyone else knows how to look stuff up (or wants to be bothered in many cases)
Anyway, anyone who wants to cheat here can already do so with or without this app, just look at the list of players kicked out for cheating already:

And I don't know anyone using it, I found the app when I re-downloaded the real chess.com app for my iPad. It is fairly new there, maybe a few days.
I seriously doubt that chess.com has any part of this app, seems like a third party developer, but legally they should have this taken down asap.
I spent $99 here to use all the learning tools available and to play "real" live games. I am really upset about that app.

The so called "Chess.com Cheat App' isnt what i would worry about, i think you all should be more concerned that StockFish the chess engine is on itunes for free and it has a playing strength of 2500 or low GM strenght. That would be my concern if some one was cheating or use a app to cheat or get help.

I was pissed at the cheat app too. I mean whats the point? No one will ever LEARN anything if they use it.
Stockfish is a cool app though. To learn / play chess. Not to cheat.

This pisses me off. Apple bans apps for stupid reasons, but an app that literally _says_ it is made for cheating gets through?
I know that getting rid of this app won't stop those who want to cheat. But the existence of this app gives players the impression, cheating were ok.
There is an ipad app specifically to cheat on this website. Seriously???
Chess.com needs to do something about this immediately!!
