Not all the time.
Everyone has to play a mix of higher and lower rated players.
If they didn't have that policy, there would be no one to play you.

Thanks but once i've seen some search options but don't remember how's that called but it allowed custom matchmaking search, or it was removed?
Although few, but at 1900 you will still find players who play unsound opening, tricks and gambits.
Just work on you emotions and not throw games because of your opponent's move.
It's true, you'll play badly if your opponent sucks. But this happens on all rating levels, so you need to get better at finding and exploiting blunders.
Subj. Is there any workaround of mathmaking system that allows playing guys like 50-100 mmr higher than me all the time?
Somehow i suck against 1100-1400 noobs who do Qh4/Qh5 or fried liver in hope of my blunder and that kind of moves emotionally triggers me because i think chess is about beautiful complex mates and strategies in the midgame in Kasparov style not that abusive crap so i can start throwing games with long losestreaks, but with guys who play decent i can go up to 1600 and i guess more
Go to Play - click on 'custom' then go to the Open Challenges section. Then you can play against whatever rating you want (although they can abort the game)
Players can also change their settings to only accept challenges/play games within a certain rating range
If you don't give an emotional response to the position and you are truly able to outplay them then you should reach said rank in short time. Your mental response to your opponents play is equally a part of your elo as a part of your skill on the board.
I am reminded of an old story (published) about a woman who was complaining that her kid was not being paired against somebody stronger. She went to the TD(arbiter) and said something on the order of "with all the people in this tournament you should be able to pair everybody up with a higher-rated player in every round. Why didn't that happen?" The TD response was something on the order of him not knowing how to pair two players together so that both of them were playing a higher-rated player.
That said, go into all settings (cogwheel above the question mark on the lower left), select live chess settings, and set the rating ranges on incoming and outgoing challenges (which may take care of at least a portion of your request).
I used to be able to go to the "play" then "open challenges" and see players rated into the 1500s and higher in the 3 minute, 5 minute, 10 minute etc...
But now I can't seem to find anyone more than 200 points higher than me. Does anyone know how to change that back? I have tried changing my settings over and over and it doesn't seem to have any effect what-so-ever.
Do I perhaps have to log out and then back in for the setting changes to take effect?
Any and all help is gratefully appreciated! Thanks!
For those who took the time to actually read what I wrote and responded nicely... THANK YOU!
The issue is that I used to see open challenges from players ranked around 1500 and up. I no longer see those challenges and I was just wondering why. I have set and re-set my + and - rating ranges with no noticeable changes. Does anyone have similar experience and could you share advice on how I can get my default setting back to being able to see a wider range of open challenges?
Thanks
