i'm not opposed to your idea. but it's not what i'm talking about here. there has been some discussion about if the chat room slows the chess server down... if it actually does--which i have no idea, then i have no problem getting rid of it completely. if it doesn't--which i have no idea, it is also worth talking about how to improve it. does it need improvement? that's for each to decide. i believe it does. i'm not sure what you're accusing me of.
if 3% of the comments are racist or sexist or rude, the i see no problem removing the chat alltogether. i'm probaly in the minority about that--which is fine with me.
drivel is drivel and yes, i believe it should be eliminated. AWARDCHESS is a prime example. i think he should be 100% banned from posting in threads. i also am 100% behind the idea that non-paying members should have limited posting rights in the forums and should have no ability to start threads. however, in this thread i initially was only talking about the live chess chat room.
