live chess interface (for planned update)

i would like to comment that i hope the live chess component on the site recieves adequete attention in the planned site update.

I played a game today using my windows tablet and the interface was fine for the first few moves, then suddenly i found i was unable to move to the desired square, i wasn't in check or anything so i can only assume it is an issue caused by lack of testing for touch interfaces. i was forced to resign the game after the board would not let me perform a routine recapture, if i clicked my piece then the target it would simply change focus, perhaps the user could touch both squares? also when i tried to grab and slide the piece the screen would move instead, and if i click the screen first to hold position then slide the piece .... well then it zooms in.

The browser was Internet Explorer (latest official version) the OS windows 8 RT and I believe the problem may persist on other windows touch screen devices.
