I recommend you to join the Dan Heisman Learning Center group:
http://www.chess.com/groups/home/dan-heisman-learning-center
We regularly host Quads tournaments (4 players double round-robin) of 45min+45sec inc where you play one game per week and swiss tournaments (also 45+45).
We also host a meeting on the group's chat on monday's at 6pm - 9 pm EST, where we play slow games, live kibitz and later analysis.
Hey There,
I'm pretty new to Chess.com, I used to be pretty active in on yahoo! chess back when that was popular but have taken a few years off.
I enjoy longer timed games like 60+ min. I don't see much support for those games. I've been playing the correspondence chess quite a bit but with the ability to analyze the board, and leave and come back many times it does not very closely emulate the OTB standard experiance. There is the option to create custom live games, but because these games are not standard it can be hard to get one going, and there are never any tournaments.
Am I missing something. what's the best way to emulate the OTB experiance?
