Lopsided Rating Matchup

Today, something very strange happened to me. I was playing 3|0 Blitz chess, like I usually do, and a recent cold streak brought my rating down to 1109, from 1188 a few days ago.

Then, I was matched up against a player with a rating of 669. Before you do the math, that's a 440 point difference. In the past, chess.com used to cap rating differences at 200 points when making a regular challenge, and lately, they've been pretty good at making sure that the difference stays below 100. Out of the blue, however, I got this match, with the insane rating calculation of Win +1 Draw -7 Lose -15. (Don't worry, I won)

Has this ever happened to you? Have you ever gotten a strangely high rating difference like this? Is chess.com doing anything about it? I'd like to hear what you have to say.

You can set your rating range in setting under the play tab, you change your rating range for incoming and outgoing challenges, I play friends with rating change of Win 0 Draw -8 Lose -16
