Ahhhhh, yes. Cheater_1 with the bad review.

I flagged.

Yes, I love Chess.com.  Your constant efforts to upgrade the site are second to none.  Thanks!

heinzie

Are you calling out your own people to pull down a bad review on another site? Isn't that regarded as B.I.E. (Bad Internet Etiquette), especially considering you are the owner of this place?

This is cheater_1's review.

"Free to sign up, SURE, but they hound you ENDLESSLY to pay to PLAY. The longer you remain a "free" MEMBER, the more features they take away, the more POP UPS you get, and the more emails they BOMBARD you with to pay to play. The paying members can get away with murder, BUT if you are a "free" member, you get banned for saying ANYTHING the moderators or owners take offense TO. Be prepared to Pay to play, or go to POGO for a much much more enjoyable experience. Oh, and IF you want to LEARN....BUY a program."

It's just exagerrations, and lies. Useless...

heinzie

It is true - there are plenty of popups and ads if you don't pay, on every page an upgrade link, PMs saying you can upgrade NOW... so where is it malicious? He advises against this site and if that is his opinion, why are you going to force censorship on that by sending out your helpful troops?

Hey heinzie, are you ready?

"so where is it malicious?"

1. FALSE: "The longer you remain a "free" MEMBER, the more features they take away"

2. FALSE: "The paying members can get away with murder, BUT if you are a "free" member, you get banned for saying ANYTHING the moderators or owners take offense TO."

EDIT: Knowingly publishing false statements is malicious, as far as I am concerned.

or go to POGO for a much much more enjoyable experience.

POGO?  You've got to be kidding.

planeden

wasn't cheater_1 banned from the site?  perhaps that makes it more of a vendetta, or perhaps he felt he was wrongly banned resulting in the "getting away with murder bit".  i don't know, never saw cheater_1.

Also, "...they hound you endlessly to pay or play", doesn't even make senseLaughing

You didn't miss much.

heinzie

Oh haha it was a review the infamous chessmaster guy... hmm... then I cannot object much to him being censored. Flag away :p but still some of the points he makes are very valid, even if we do not completely agree with them or like them

fissionfowl

I have no idea how you can think any of those points are valid.
