15 members total in less than one full day. I hope to start competition once we hit at least 30 or so, maybe a little more. Check out the "64-Star" link in the OP and take a look around. We're not yet public, but I hope to be soon.

The Group is up and running, 21 members with an average rating of almost 1700 of the combined players, with the highest player at 2300 and several others in the 2000+ range and more above 1600+. It's going to be a competitive group and everybody in the group has an equal say on group suggestions for matches and vote chess opponents.
We DO have a minimum to enter the Group right now at 1500-1600, but if you're lower than that and showing progress, drop a line on our profile page
I hope to see you there

Omar, we don't specialize in KG play, we play everything, the name is just from the chess club I want to own in the future. I know the name is misleading, but that's not what we focus on. We play everything from a-z

Not quite Omar!
We are going to be advertising this group for a while for those who are curious or have borderline interests in joining. I usually don't flood the forums like this unless I am posting for the Chess.com/TV Group, but I am hoping that group's "umph" pushes this one a little bit as well as 96% of the King's Gambit group come from the TV/Group!

An update on the group for those who are curious.
We're only 28 members, but have an average rating of over 1700. We're always looking for more members (1500-1600+ rating). So take a look at our group profile and our hand-picked membership roster, and decide if you want to join a team that has high hopes with a lot of kick butt players. Here is the link for our profile page.

OK everyone! We've made a name change to get more members and try to form a good, stronger foundation. Here is the link for the New profile.

where the hell do you get all these strange pictures from?
Mikey, you need a little "SNL" education! lol And of course, the Flintstones lol
The two pics of the woman are of Gilda Radner. She was one of the VERY talented performers on the original (and the best, imo) "Saturday Night Live" show. Very unfortunately, she died young from ovarian cancer :(
GREAT pics, Omar!!!! :D
Hey everyone!
We changed the name of the group that was once called the King's Gambit Chess Club to the "64-Star Generals" just so no one will get confused about the following posts.
It's invite only for now, so to apply for membership go to the link in the second paragraph. Right now, it is for players with at least a 1500-1600 ranking which has been discussed by group members and accepted by myself.
Thanks everyone!
