A poem on chess openings.
King's Pawn is a common start, but you'd better watch your back.
Perhaps black will try a Sicilian counterattack.
Queen's Pawn is also common, with center grabs and such.
Perhaps black will pay his queen's pawn, or how about the Dutch?
What about the English? It seems like fun to play.
It can go into the Reversed Sicilian though, I should say.
Perhaps you'd like to try something original to you?
That's always fun and interesting to do!
Remember, openings are sculptures of the beginning of the fray.
The chess board is the potter's wheel, and the pieces are the clay!
