Where's the option to remove it from all pages? I don't want it showing anywhere but there doesn't seem to be an option.
New Live Chat bar

I don't see a Remove from all pages option. Only remove from certain pages.
sorry, only premiums can totally remove. but you can limit it down to just your homepage (or, if you know what you are doing with browsers you can find a hack to block that javascript).

Hehe, thanks erik ;) I shall ask my technically minded other half :p

Oh, I see. Turning it off is only available to premium members.
How unbelievably invasive! If you don't pay, you're forced to have chat. Nice :/
Again; Complaining about a free service not meeting your preferences is an absurd argument.

It's an annoyance I did not ask for and do not want. You should consider making it an opt in feature rather than an opt out feature.

Yuk. What makes this necessary? We can message, email, chat in game. Redundancy--the opiate of the irreligious masses.

I personally love chatting so this for me is a brilliant feature but I can see how for some they just want to come here and play chess this can seem intrusive

we give you a chance to check it out and then gave you a very very simple way to turn it off :) sorry to annoy you.

Well. I'm not very big on chat, but it's pretty unobtrusive. I didn't even notice till it was pointed out.
If you need help, please contact our Help and Support team.
You can now chat live with your friends from almost any page on Chess.com! We have partnered with Meebo.com to provide a chat bar that sits at the bottom of your page (much like the bar on Facebook.com). You will see which of your friends are online and you can then click on their name to chat with them. You can navigate around the Chess.com site and your chat will stay live and active!
Look for this chat interface on the main Chess.com site!
We hope you will enjoy a more socially interactive Chess.com with this new chat bar!
If you don't see the bar, it is because you don't have any friends yet. Add some people to your friends list and you will be notified when they are online!
If you would like to change or limit where you see the Live Chat bar, you can change it in your account Privacy page.
Please check this FAQ or the Help & Support forums if you have any questions. Thanks!
