This is one of those internet things I'll never understand. Why do people dislike other people posting in CAPS? Seems fine to me. My mother types in CAPS on the computer, and she says it's easier for her to see. Fine. It's easy to read CAPS. Some administrator at FICS would not answer my question because I asked it in CAPS. I just don't get it...

Yeah, and it isn't even like caps or non-caps was the biggest issue with the original post. The fact that it was in barely intelligible semi-english was a bigger issue I would think.

TEXT WHICH IS IN ALL CAPITALS HAS TWO DISADVANTAGES WHEN IT COMES TO BEING READ. Text which is in all capitals has two disadvantages when it comes to being read. The reduced white space around the letters – and lack of ascenders and descenders makes it generally more difficult to read. Secondly, the widely accepted convention that the different forms of formatting (e.g. CAPITALISATION, italicization, underlining, bolding) all denote some aspect of emphasis makes messages which don’t follow the convention ambiguous.

I'm aware of how to use various formatting to create a more personalized post. But some people aren't going for that in some situations. It seems no problem whatsoever to allow it, without being picky, in the same way that improper grammar, and spelling errors are tolerated. But, it is something that I personally don't understand. I can imagine others, who think CAPS are some form of screaming, but I'm not there...yet...
