New Weekend Speed Vote League

This group is for administrators of teams in the Weekend Speed Vote League.  The WSVL plays games of Vote Chess at 10-mins/turn.  Each team will play one game each weekend.  If you would like your team to be a part of this league, please contact Billium248.

WSVL Rules:

1. The WSVL is open to 20 teams per season.
2. These teams will be divided into two “conferences” of 10 teams each.
3. Each season lasts 13 weeks and corresponds with the traditional calendar seasons (Northern Hemisphere). 
   1. The 2009 Summer Season begins on Friday, June 26 and ends on Sunday, September 20. 
   2. The 2009 Fall Season will run from Friday, September 25 thru Sunday, December 20.
4. The weekend begins as soon as it is 12am Friday morning in the earliest time zone (+14), and ends when it is 12am Monday in the latest time zone (-10).
5. At some point during each weekend (96 hours total), each team will complete one game of Vote Chess against the team on their schedule for that week.
6. It is the responsibility of the Team Administrators to coordinate start times with their opposing teams each week.
7. Every team will play every other team in their conference once.
8. Each team will have one “bye” week with no scheduled game.
9. Every Vote Chess game will be played at 10-minutes per turn.
10. Every Vote Chess game will be played with random color settings.
11. The first 10 weeks will be the “Regular Season” with the last 3 weeks being the “Post Season” or “Playoffs.”
12. Week 11 will be the Conference Semi-Finals with only the Top 4 teams from each conference competing.
    1. The #1 team will play the #4 team
    2. The #2 team will play the #3 team
13. Week 12 will be the Conference Finals between the two teams who won their Semi-Final games in Week 11. 
14. Week 13 will be the WSVL Finals between the winners of each conference.  The winner of this game will be the Champion for that Season.
